Ryan Fries, DVM, DACVIM (Cardiology)

VETERINARY CARDIOLOGIST 

Dr. Ryan Fries is an Assistant Professor of Cardiology in the Department of Veterinary Clinical Medicine at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He received his DVM from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2007 after completing his clinical rotations at Washington State University. Dr. Fries completed a small animal medicine and surgery internship at The Ohio State University and a cardiology residency at Texas A&M University. He became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Cardiology) in 2012. Upon completion of his residency, Dr. Fries worked as a staff cardiologist in a private referral practice in Cincinnati, and was a Clinical Assistant Professor of Cardiology at Texas A&M University and an Associate Research Scientist for the Texas A&M Institute for Preclinical Studies (TIPS).
